The Hockey Development Company is an industry leader in training
players and coaches in the art and science of hockey skating.
We are able to structure customized programs to meet the needs of
your association, team, coaches and players.
Skating is the most fundamental skill in the game of hockey - if
you can't skate, you can't play the game. The goal of every Hockey
Development Company skating program is to teach players proper
skating technique and provide coaches with a solid understanding of how to teach hockey's most important
skill.
Skating Development Programs
The Hockey Development Company's
Paul Willett and members of our professional staff are available to come to your association to conduct a
power skating clinic designed to meet the needs of your players and
coaches. Options available to associations include:
 | Full Week Skating Development
Program |
 | Weekend Skating Development
Program |
 | Single Day Training Sessions |
 | One or Two Day Coaching
Development Program |
The most popular option is the one-week
Skating Development Program. Through this program, you can provide a professionally run
power skating clinic in your building at a per-player cost that can
be less than one third of what a player may pay to attend a similar
clinic in a neighboring community.

Here's a quick look at how our typical Skating Development Program is
structured:
The Hockey Development Company provides:
 | Complete on-ice program design and implementation.
|
 | Our coaches will lead all sessions for players and coaches.
|
 | All training material and
handouts. |
 | All on-ice training equipment.
|
Your group or association provides:
 | All necessary ice time.
|
 | Market the program to your club or association. |
 | Coaches willing to learn in a hands-on environment. Coaches will
come on the ice and learn how to teach the skills their players are
learning. This is the optimal way to continue the learning
experience for your players throughout the year. |
 | A minimum guarantee of 20
players (maximum of 30) per group. Typically, a two-group
minimum is required to conduct the one-week Skating Development
Program. |
The Hockey
Development Company provides services for a pre-determined,
per-player fee or negotiated flat fee. Your group or association determines what to charge
each player. Any profits go back to the group or association. Our
programs can be used as as fundraiser in addition to a wonderful
training tool for players and coaches.
Our Coaching
Development Program provides your association's coaches with one or
two days of in-depth classroom and on-ice training. We teach
your coaches how to train their players to be better skaters and
provide them with insight into the science of skating.
